由於美國新政府積極努力修訂關稅所引起的緊張局勢也影響到了澳大利亞。根據NAB的數據，2月份的商業狀況略有改善，交易條件和盈利能力有小幅增長。然而，商業信心卻大幅下降了6點，大部分抵消了1月份取得的改善。這使得信心跌至長期平均水平以下，重新回到了負值領域。

對於澳洲儲備銀行來說，新數據顯得中性。利率預測顯示可能在五月再降息一次，並在2026年將利率調整至最終的3.1%。這一預測與市場對於美聯儲在2026年利率的預期相符，顯示未來利率分歧沒有明確的推動因素。至少目前來看，這減少了利率出現大幅波動的可能性。
