Originally a Cistercian Abbey, it underwent numerous transformations over the centuries and was eventually converted into a hotel. Today, Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay offers guests a unique experience immersed in French history. The interiors, designed by Cordelia de Castellane, combine ancient architecture with modern comfort, giving the hotel a distinctive charm.
Palazzo Durazzo Suites
In the heart of Genoa, this hotel occupies a restored 17th-century palace owned by the Durazzo family for over 400 years. Architect Emanuela Brignone Cattaneo and artist Cesare Barro breathed new life into this historic structure, creating a luxurious hotel with 12 unique suites. The interiors retain original frescoes, baroque elements, and elegant marble floors, all harmoniously blended with contemporary Italian style.
At Sloane
Situated in London’s prestigious Chelsea neighborhood, this hotel occupies a 19th-century private mansion. The building was designed by Edwin Thomas Hall, known for his Victorian-style works such as the Liberty department store, and served as a residence for over a century. After a six-year renovation completed in 2023, French designer François-Joseph Graf preserved the original features while adding modern touches, creating an atmosphere of elegance and comfort.
1 Place Vendôme
This boutique hotel with just 15 rooms opened in September 2023 in the heart of Paris as a project by the Chopard jewelry house. The 18th-century building underwent meticulous restoration under the guidance of designer Pierre-Yves Rochon. Luxurious materials, such as wallpapers by Les Ateliers Philippe Coudray and murals by L’Atelier Mériguet Carrère, emphasize the historical significance of the space while infusing it with Parisian sophistication.
Thyme
Located in the picturesque English village of Southrop, Thyme opened in 2020 and was created by the Hibbert family. The owners aimed to craft not just a hotel but a "village within a village." The complex comprises restored 17th-century buildings, including private cottages and farms. A standout feature of Thyme is its stunning garden, which spans the entire property and supplies flowers and herbs for decorating interiors and preparing dishes in the on-site restaurant.
Warren Street Hotel
Set in the heart of New York’s Tribeca district, this hotel is the third project by Firmdale Hotels in the city. Its eye-catching blue-and-yellow facade stands out against the neighborhood’s brick buildings. Inside, bold and unconventional interiors feature exclusive fabrics, unique materials, and modern art pieces, such as sculptures by Tony Cragg and other contemporary artists.
Raffles Jaipur
Located near the center of Jaipur, India, this hotel is a masterpiece of white marble, showcasing the best of local architectural traditions.
