On May 30th, journalists saw the modern version of the Be-200 that was manufactured by the Beriev Aviation Scientific-Technical Complex in Taganrog according to the latest technological rules. The aircraft considerably differs from the first-generation model that was constructed in Irkutsk.

Board of directors of the factory said that tests of the new aircraft will be conducted in the near future. After that, the Be-200CHS will be used by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situation.

Engineers did their best: the amphibious aircraft has an advanced airframe and the most modern equipment. Design engineers said that all disadvantages of the previous model were taken into account while creating the new aircraft.

It is important that most parts used for the Be-200CHS creation were made in Russia. The amphibious aircraft is designed for firefighting, transportation of specialists to the areas of emergency to provide help as well as search and rescue on the water. The aircraft can also be used for environmental monitoring and transportation of various cargoes.

The company that manufactured the Be-200CHS was established in 2006. The government owns 85% of the corporation's stocks.
