There are currently 168 countries with 1,199 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including 227 natural sites, 933 cultural sites, and 39 that combine both. Here is a top 7 list of unique global landmarks
Chinese Academy of Sciences has revealed annual rating of the cities in China with the most comfortable living environment. Qingdao got in the first line of this rating.
The experts have applied 29 criteria while evaluating the cities' comfort level. The crime level, availability of public services and education, social well-being and environmental conditions, public transport, rate of wages and other criteria have been taken into account.
Qingdao is located at the Yellow Sea shore.
The city of Kunming located in Yunnan Province is on the second place.
The resort city of Sanya, capital of Hainan Province, made the top three.
Weihai occupies the fourth line in the rating of the most comfortable cities in China.
The coastal city of Dalian is the last of top five best Chinese cities to live in.
The experts believe that Nanchang, Harbin (in the picture) and Guangzhou are the least comfortable cities to live in.
Poor environment causes great discomfort to Chinese people. This is the reason why Beijing got the last 40th line on the list. However, this city can boast of high security level, transport accessibility and decent average wages. Nevertheless, the capital wasn't able to get a high score due to unfavorable environmental conditions.
