Doji Star este o "lumanare" model (pattern) care apare inaintea ca trendul sa se inverseze. Mai intai, apare o linie cu un corp lung. Culoarea sa, va reflecta trendul anterior. Un corp negru, confirma un trend in scadere, in timp ce un corp alb indica un trend crescator.
Urmatoarea zi, pretul de deschidere este egal cu pretul de inchidere datorat unui salt al directiei trendului. Doji Star este un bun exemplu de aplicare in alaniza pietei al graficelor "candlestick" japoneze. Intotdeauna ofera semnale clare. Incetinirea trendului nu ar fi atat de evidenta daca aplicam alta metoda de analiza grafica.
Un Doji Start bearish, apare intr-un trend crescator care este evidentiat de o linie groasa alba. Urmatoarea zi, tranzactionarea este efectuata intr-un interval de pret ingust iar pretul de inchidere este egal sau aproape egal cu pretul de deschidere. O asemenea situatie, ii face pe traderi sa uite de trendul crescator anterior. Cei mai multi dintre ei isi schimba pozitia, facand astfel linia mai lunga. Daca pretul de inchidere al urmatoarei zile este sub Doji Star, atunci trendul se va inversa.
De cele mai multe ori, daca in primza zi, o tranzactie este inchisa in trendul principal, este un decalaj de pret inainte de formarea Doji Star. Daca dferenta acopera "umbrele", inversarea trendului devine si mai importanta. Culoare din prima zi a candlestick trebuie sa reflecte directia tendintei/trendului.
