Cena zlata odštartovala v novom roku pod tlakom. Po minulotýždňovom maxime 1831 dolárov sa pohybuje nadol smerom k úrovni 1820. Je pritom pod čiarou indikátora tenkan-sen (červenou), čo je prvým signálom slabosti.

Tá sa prehĺbi pobytom pod úrovňou 1822,60 dolárov. Cena sa chystá testovať čiaru indikátora kijun-sen (žltú) na úrovni 1810. Pokiaľ sa cena dostane nad štvorhodinový oblak Kumo, bude stále v uptrende. Býci by ju neradi videli prelomiť sa pod úroveň 1783 dolárov, kde sa nachádza dolná hranica oblaku. Spätného testu vrcholu oblaku by sa pritom báť nemáli. Naopak, ak pri ňom cena poskočí, mali by to pokladať za signál rastu.
